The Governors of Archbishop Runcie Church of England VA First School wish to appoint a permanent Unqualified Nursery Teacher due to the promotion of the previous post holder.
 
We are a welcoming church school with happy and highly-motivated children. We have exceptional expectations of ourselves and the children, providing them an ambitious, broad and balanced curriculum that stretches children to be the best that they can be. Parents are highly engaged with the school’s work.
 
It is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our school team to further advance our EYFS and growing Nursery provision. It will be an opportunity to play a full part in the continued development of our vision for all our children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who flourish through our creative and engaging curriculum.
 
This post is suitable for anyone qualified to degree level including Early Years Teacher Status or equivalent qualifications to enable them to work as a Nursery Teacher.
 
The successful candidates will:
  • have experience of teaching in EYFS
  • have high expectations of children's attitudes, achievements and behaviour
  • be innovative, creative and imaginative 
  • have a passion for creating an exciting learning environment 
  • consistently go the extra mile for the good of our children
  • be willing to participate in all aspects of school life and to ‘muck in’ – we are a small school!
  • have evidence of meaningful classroom impact
  • have successful, recent experience of planning, teaching and assessing
  • work positively with parents and families 
  • be flexible and work collaboratively and successfully as team members
There will be an opportunity for interested applicants to meet with the EYFS Leader for a tour of the school at 4:00pm on Wednesday 27th March. Please book a place via the school office.
 
Application forms are available on the school website and returnable to Mrs K Massey by 9:00am on Monday 15th April 2024. CVs will not be accepted.
 
Shortlisted applicants will be required for the full day on Monday 22nd April 2024 for lesson observations, tasks and interviews.
