Casual basis
Grade N4: Hourly rate £9.74 per hour, plus Leave Allowance.
The Newcastle PE and School Sport Service are looking to employ reliable, self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals on a casual basis to provide PE related support in both curriculum and extra-curriculum time in a primary school setting as well as supporting a range of programmes and events delivered by the Newcastle PE & School Sport Service. In particular, we are looking for Coaches that have the ability to plan and deliver skills based PE lessons to KS1 & KS2.
Initially, the requirement is for the role to be employed on a causal basis but there is future scope to provide more regular coaching opportunities for the right candidate.
Please note that the majority of the role will focus on delivery. We particularly welcome candidates that have a background in Dance or Gymnastics.
As a minimum we require:
- Level 2 NGB coaching qualification in at least one sport
- At least a minimum of 3 months’ experience coaching young people or children in a sports activity or educational setting
- Ability to work both independently & as part of a Team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide feedback to children, teaches and parents
- Full UK Driving Licence & own transport
