One of the North East’s biggest recruitment fairs returns to Cobalt Business Park on Thursday 18 October

Now in its fourth year, this year’s Cobalt Jobs Fair will showcase hundreds of opportunities in a wide range of industries, including IT, finance, sales, customer service and public sector – there’s sure to be something for everyone! 

The major event is organised by North Tyneside Council in partnership with Cobalt Park and is sponsored by Accenture. 

It is designed to support organisations based at Cobalt Business Park with their skills and recruitment needs. 

The jobs fair takes place on Thursday 18 October between 11am and 3pm at Cobalt 23. 

Full-time, part-time, apprenticeship, training and graduate opportunities will be up for grabs as well as entry-level to senior positions. 

Dozens of businesses, large and small, and various other organisations specialising in all sorts of areas will be attending this year, including: 




  • Accenture 

  • Perfect Image 

  • EE 

  • Utilitywise 

  • Cobalt Hospital 

  • DXC Technology 

  • Santander 

  • Northumbria Police 

  • North Tyneside SCITT 

  • North Tyneside Council’s Fostering Service 



There are loads of benefits to working at Cobalt Business Park too, including excellent transport links and MORE Card benefits with great staff discounts across the region including spa, shopping and restaurant deals and offers with Chiquito, Malmaison, Linden Hall, Tapas Revolution, Light Water Valley and Outfit. 

The park, which is within walking distance of Silverlink retail park, offers a community feel, as well as a range of facilities for workers across the site, including coffee shops, a Greggs and Tesco. 

Each Thursday street food specialists arrive on site, including Mexican Tacos from Chucho's Tacos and Indian naan wraps from Tandoori Naan Hut. 

There is also support from the Cobalt MORE team to help people plan their travel journeys to and from the park. 

Last year’s event was a massive success as 1,200 jobseekers turned out to find their dream job or discover new opportunities open to them. 

North Tyneside’s Elected Mayor Norma Redfearn CBE was there and will be attending again this time round. 

She says: “Each year the Cobalt Jobs Fair gets bigger and bigger and more and more successful. 

“This year promises to be another roaring success with hundreds of opportunities on offer for everyone, no matter what your background. 

“I look forward to seeing you all there on 18 October for what I’m sure will be another fantastic day!”  

Lynn Cramman, Business Development Manager for Cobalt Park is looking forward to another successful event, “The jobs fair is now into its fourth year due to the success of previous events in partnership with North Tyneside Council and the prestigious companies based at Cobalt Park.
