CATERING OPERATIONS MANAGER

The role will oversee busy catering operations in the Dolphin Centre bistro, café, events and conference services and their off-site cafes based in South Park and Collaboration which serves Darlington Borough Council employees and Department for Education staff.

Working closely with the Head of Leisure and Catering Services, you will be responsible for all aspects of operational management and delivery within catering across sites. This will include quality assuring catering products and service delivery, maintaining health and safety and hygiene standards and growing and developing the catering business. Budget targets and expenditure management will be a key responsibility ensuring catering operations run both efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within catering management, with strong commercial awareness and have the ambition to be an outstanding leader that motivates and inspires the team.

LEISURE OPERATIONS MANAGER (two posts)

One role will focus on the sports, fitness and entertainment strand of the business and the second on the aquatics and water education strand. As a Leisure Operations Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of operational management and delivery within your business strand.

This will include quality assuring service delivery within facilities and programmes, maintaining health and safety standards and managing operations and risks within the leisure environment. A creative approach to problem solving is essential along with the ability to work well in a high paced and pressured environment.

The ideal candidates will be highly professional, value integrity and be motivated to make a difference and take the business forward through operational excellence. You will be required to have a good understanding of how your role supports the vision and values of the organisation, while promoting positive attitude, and recognise your responsibility as leaders to motivate and inspire.

Salary for all roles: £32,798 - £35,336
