Highway Services has an opportunity for a Structures Design Engineer based at Meadowfield Depot; however you may be required to work at any Council workplace within County Durham.
The successful applicant must have significant experience in the design and maintenance of bridges and highways structures including the preparation and delivery of cost effective bridge design ensuring compliance with current legislation.
The postholder will report to the Commercial Group Manager and have experience of working at a senior level within a highways / bridges environment.
Required Qualifications: Degree level standard or equivalent in a relevant Civil Engineering or design discipline.

Due to the requirement to drive a County Council vehicle in this role, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
