Small enough to care, big enough to make a positive impact

As a successful school in south east Northumberland with good standards of teaching and behaviour and a strong commitment to improvement, we believe passionately that every student should be enabled to succeed in all aspects of school life.

This specialist role is to teach all Technology disciplines to Key Stage 3, as well as a small number of Key Stage 2 Art lessons. An excellent practitioner with a strong track record in delivering Technology at Key Stage 3, you will also ideally have some experience of teaching Key Stage 2 pupils although this is not essential. You will need to be a self-starter in delivering Technology provision, although there will be opportunities to work with other specialists at Whytrig Middle School and Astley Community High School within the Seaton Valley Federation.

The working pattern for this post is 4 days per week: Monday-Wednesday and Friday.

Our candidate information pack will tell you much more about this vacancy and the school. Visits to the school are also warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Steph Lindley, Head of School on 0191 2370629 to make an appointment.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. It is essential that all staff and volunteers share this commitment. An enhanced criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required for all posts.

Interested in applying? A completed application form and criminal records declaration form must be submitted by 12 noon on Wednesday 25 January 2017 by e-mail to ssmsjobs@svlp.org.uk quoting Teacher of Technology.
It is expected that shortlisting will take place on Thursday 26 January and interviews will be held on Thursday 2 February 2017. Please note that we will only notify shortlisted applicants.
