An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Curriculum Manager for our Technical Engineering curriculum area that encompasses Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication and Welding, and Electrical Installation. The successful applicant will have a teaching commitment in mechanical engineering, therefore knowledge and skills within turning, milling, bench fitting and mechanical principles along with either CAD or CNC will be required.
The successful applicant should possess a minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering along with an understanding of mechanical engineering workshop practices and be able to deliver PEO units. Ideally they should also possess qualified teacher status, have management experience in education or industry as well as having considerable experience within the Engineering sector. An in-depth knowledge of the Further Education Sector is desirable.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills as they will be required to manage and lead a team of lecturers and assessors in an expanding area, reporting to the Head of School.
