Senior Practitioner, Grade 12 non AMHP status
Grade 13 AMHP status (subject to evaluation)

Children's Services are seeking a full-time permanent Senior Practitioner to joing our Emergency Duty Team to co-ordinate and take lead responsibility when on duty for all Emergency Duty Team staff.

The Senior Practitioner will work closely with the Team Manager as a key part of the management team to provide support and consistency to Durham’s single front door services including the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub).

The Emergency Duty Team provides a generic service for the whole of the County outside of usual office hours. In addition to dealing with emergency situations the service is integral to the Organisation’s objective to ensure delivery of excellent high quality comprehensive support services 24/7.

Required qualifications: Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification, i.e. CQSW, CSS or Dip SW and HCPC Registration.
Approved Mental Health Professional and / or post qualifying award in child protection (i.e. the ability to work as a child protection social worker)
