Tees Valley Music Service (TVMS) has served the Tees Valley for over thirty years. Initially a purely peripatetic instrumental tuition service, we have extended our provision to include teacher training, school curriculum support and delivery, consultancy for all aspects of music education, including music technology, and instrument and equipment hire. We are now one of the 122 National Music Education Hub Lead Partners.

We provide instrumental and vocal tuition, covering all styles for all ages across out four partner authorities of Stockton on Tees, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland. All of our pupils receive free membership of TVMS ensembles and choirs, ranging from beginner level to advanced bands and orchestras in each area and county-wide.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and conscientious Resource Assistant to work within a small, very busy team specialising in musical instrument stock movements, instrument repair and sheet music Library control.

Specific duties will vary, but will include: assisting with instrument delivery / collection across four local authorities; assisting at concerts/events as necessary including during weekends; inputting data into our bespoke software system.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a high level of musical knowledge including playing a musical instrument, IT competency, attention to detail, good communication skills both orally and written and flexibility.
