The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an inspirational Headteacher to lead the school from September 2018. This position is open to candidates who have a breadth and depth of experience at Senior Leadership level within a primary setting.
Our current Headteacher is retiring after 18 years in the role, and for the past 8 years here at Ryhope Junior School.
The School was rated Outstanding by OFSTED in 2008. The school has historically performed well compared to similar schools, and our aim is that every child fulfils the school motto of “Learn to Live”.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational successor to our current Headteacher, who will have experience of school leadership and school improvement. The successful candidate will have the vision to lead the school into its next exciting stage of development.

We are committed to developing a love of learning, inspired by quality teaching, building and developing upon the individual strengths and talents of our pupils and staff. Ryhope Junior School lies close to the coastline, along the southern boundary of the City of Sunderland, in Tyne and Wear. We are currently a Local Authority Maintained Primary School.
