Are you looking for an opportunity to gain a Level 2 Business Admin apprenticeship qualification whilst gaining valuable work experience? Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council has an exciting new opportunity within the Education Improvement Service (EIS).
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for all pupils. The Education Improvement Service provides support to schools across the breadth of educational agendas to improve outcomes for children and young people. You will work closely with the attendance team within EIS as well as have the opportunity to contribute to the wider EIS admin team.
The attendance team are responsible for a range of duties relating to identifying, monitoring, promoting and supporting children's school attendance by a range of supportive and legal measures to ensure children and young people achieve their academic potential. The attendance team also have responsibility for identifying, tracking, and locating Children Missing Education and children whose parents/carers have elected to home educate.
You will gain valuable work experience supporting the team in a diverse range of administrative tasks including but not exhaustive of: inputting data, contacting schools and education providers to gain pupil information, auditing, and telephone enquiries. As an SBC employee you will be provided with a mentor who will support you in developing your career and who will encourage you to try new things.

The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service, be willing to learn and develop and will not be afraid to try new things.

Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years with no upper age limit. Please note however you will be required to meet the entry requirements for the Level 2 Business Administration course which will be delivered by Learning & Skills.
