Enabling people to move safely and efficiently around this diverse area is critical to delivery of our vision. We are looking for a dedicated Highway Asset Management Engineer to help us maintain a safe and efficient Highway Network.
We wish to recruit a Bridge/Structures Engineer to assist in managing and maintaining highway and transport related structures on behalf of the council. The successful candidate will have an in-depth and up to date working knowledge of current developments and national requirements in this area. You will be expected to maintain and update key data sets used in the management of Highway structures to ensure data integrity & validity and undertake efficiency reviews to ensure procedures and working practices are efficient and delivering value for money.
Duties will include: Lead on commission surveying, investigation, data analysis in order to inform the preparation of associated maintenance programmes • Lead on the production and subsequent regular review of the Asset Management Plan including asset valuation and reporting to DfT• Developing bespoke maintenance regimes for various highway structures whilst ensuring compliance with the Highway Authority's statutory obligations. • Contract management, site supervision as well as financial management and budget control
