The Governing Body of St. Helen’s Primary School are seeking candidates of an extremely high calibre to work within a setting dedicated to supporting pupils and families. The successful candidate will work alongside our existing Social Inclusion Officer/PSA and contribute to the fantastic work that we do at St. Helen’s with regards improving attendance, family partnerships and supporting our most vulnerable pupils.

At St. Helen’s we pride ourselves around the level of care we offer to all pupils and their families and we would like to build upon these firm foundations to improve this further with new initiatives that we would like to launch within school with the successful appointment of an Inclusion, Family Support Assistant.

St. Helen’s Primary School has 318 pupils inclusive of a 26 place Nursery and a 16 place 2 Year Old provision. We have above average FSM and deprivation. The vision for St. Helen’s Primary School is to ‘enable all pupils (no matter what their background or starting point) to achieve their full potential and promote the school as a ‘beacon’ of the community, where aspirations are achieved and dreams are a reality for all pupils, staff and families’.

Successful candidates will have previous experience of supporting families and pupils successfully and demonstrate the following:

You will need to be:
Dedicated to making a difference to the lives of our pupils, families and community
Able to communicate effectively with our parents and build positive relationships with families and the local/wider community
Able to demonstrate leadership skills and attributes and have a desire and experience to take a lead with new initiatives
Able to demonstrate a proven success record of supporting families and pupils
Committed to working as part of a flexible, committed team
Dedicated in promoting the wellbeing of all individuals
Have knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies
Able to contribute to wider school effectiveness
