Post title: Learning Delivery Assistant – temporary and sessional vacancies available

1 x Learning Delivery Assistant – part time (25 hours per week) temporary until 31/07/2019
4 x Sessional Learning Delivery Assistant – casual contract


Salary: £22,401 - £25,463 Grade 7 (pro-rata to hours worked where applicable)

Job Location: Your normal base will be at the Civic Centre, Crook. However, you may be required to work at any council workplace and a range of other venues within County Durham.

Both part time, temporary and sessional Learning Delivery Assistants are required. Under the direction of the allocated Programme Lead, the post holders will be required to assist the lecturers to address the needs of the learners who require particular help to overcome barriers to learning. The post holders will help to contribute towards the delivery of a high quality learning and skills experience; contribute to the preparation of the learning environment; handling and set up of equipment and learning resources to aid the delivery.

Required qualifications: Diploma in Specialist Support in Teaching and Learning at Level 3 or equivalent qualifications in teaching, and GCSE Grade A to C in English and maths or equivalent qualifications. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of supporting learners with maths, English, ESOL and SEN.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
