33.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 training days (Hours of work to be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm, Tuesday 8.30am – 4.30pm)
We require Learning Support Assistants to be class based as directed by the Head Teacher. The post is suitable for experienced Special Needs Assistants.
Required as soon as possible, Learning Support Assistants with an interest in working with pupils with autism and associated disorders. All pupils have significant learning difficulties and complex needs. The range of abilities stretches from P Levels to lower National Curriculum levels.
Thomas Bewick is a successful specialist school for pupils aged between three and nineteen years with autism and pervasive developmental disorders. Ofsted reported the school as being ‘good’ in April 2016. Thomas Bewick is a Foundation Trust school and forms part of the Newcastle Special Schools Trust (known as The Compass Trust).
