Post title: Systems Support Officer – full time – temporary until 31/03/2020
Salary: £18,870 - £21,074 Grade 5
Job Location: the post will be based at County Hall in Durham, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.
Applications are invited for this full-time temporary Systems Support Officer position. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide advice and support to IT system users within Adults and Health Services as well as other partner agencies.
The post holder’s duties will include but not be limited to:
• Provision of telephone, helpdesk and on-site support to system users, in the preparation for and implementation of systems;
• Assistance with testing and implementation of new systems and technologies prior to their implementation within the Service;
• Support with accurate entry of data and maintenance of databases within the Service;
• Processing, maintenance and upkeep of records in relation to system access requests and audit logs;
• Production of procedures and user guidance for information system operation ;
• Supporting research, implementation and evaluation of new technologies and systems.
Required qualifications: NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, ICT or information related subject or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
