If the answer is YES to any of these, North Tyneside Council wants to hear from you. We’re recruiting for a part time, 18.5 hours Community Wellbeing Officer in the Community Wellbeing South West Team
Last year we reviewed our whole approach to supporting adults, and families in North Tyneside and introduced a new, dynamic model of support, built around our 4 small localities. This will enable you to build meaningful relationships with local GPs and providers, as well as shaping the future of the services we commission.
We’re using a strengths based approach to helping people transform their lives, which will focus on the community they are part of and that empowers them to take as much control of their lives as possible. You’ll have a static case load to enable you to get to know the people you work with over the life time of their personal budget and will be supported by an experienced lead practitioner.
We have a state of the art case recording system with full agile working. You’ll have brand new IT kit to enable you to work from any community location and from home. As part of this we streamlined all administrative processes, maximising the time you spend with people, not paperwork.
We have a well established programme of CPD support and you’ll be given free access to range of online and face to face resources to help you evidence and develop your skills and practice.
