Wark C of E First School is a small rural Church of England First School situated approximately 11 miles north of Hexham.
The school prides itself on its excellent outcomes for children and outstanding relationships between pupils, staff, parents and the community.
We currently have 40 children on roll, ranging in age from 3 years in our Early Years Unit (Nursery to Reception) to 9 years (Year 4). At present we are a First School (Reception to Year 4) but from September 2019 will be extending our age-range to become a Primary and taking Year 5 in the first year, followed by Year 6 in 2020.
In addition to our nursery, we also offer Before and After-School Wraparound Care which is very popular with children of all ages.
This is a really exciting time for the school and we are looking forward to welcoming an enthusiastic and committed Apprentice Teaching Assistant to our team.
