Northumberland County Council, on behalf of North of Tyne Combined Authority, has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to develop and manage performance of the innovative North of Tyne Working Homes project.

The project will pilot a cross-sector delivery partnership of housing providers and employment support organisations to support residents across Northumberland, North Tyneside and Newcastle to move into work through an integrated service approach. This will be a high profile flagship project for the newly formed North of Tyne Combined Authority to deliver its vision of an Inclusive Economy.

The successful candidate will lead development, implementation, delivery and programme management, delivering effective performance to meet challenging output and results targets and ensuring compliance with funder requirements. Proven partnership management skills are therefore essential.

The successful candidate will have proven project and people management skills, with a performance driven approach to meeting targets. There will be an excellent understanding of labour markets and matching jobseekers with employer needs. Ability to work effectively in partnership with a range of housing and employment services is essential.

This post is initially funded by Northumberland County Council with potential to be part funded by the European Social Fund as part of the England 2014 to 2020 European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF) Programme.

The post is for an initial three year period.
