We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Technical Officer with the necessary training and experience to work in our Public Protection and Neighbourhoods Team.
The team deal with a wide range of housing related issues including housing standards, noise and anti-social behaviour, public health nuisances and landlord licensing to improve conditions in the private housing sector.
It is essential to have a good understanding of the regulatory framework, guidance and good practice in relation to the Housing Act and in particular HMO licensing.
The role will primarily be within our HMO Licensing team to implement the recent changes to the mandatory HMO licensing scheme and will involve dealing with licence applications through to validation, compliance inspections and investigation of complaints in both licensed and unlicensed HMO’s.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required with proven ability to deliver services.
