Middlesbrough Museums are looking to recruit a pool of energetic and self-motivated facilitators to deliver their learning programmes at both the Dorman Museum and the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum. The role is casual and hours will be dependent on the demands of the service. You will be part of a team providing enjoyable, engaging and interactive formal and informal learning to a wide range of audiences.
You must have excellent communication skills and preferably experience of delivering learning based activities to children and young people. You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of sessions and will contribute to their evaluation and development. An awareness of the National Curriculum would be an advantage and after full training you will be expected to deliver sessions on a variety of subjects.
As part of the wider team you will be customer focussed and proactive in welcoming visitors and ensuing that Health & Safety policies are adhered followed. You will play a key role in the promotion of Council’s cultural vision as well as promoting the Council’s values.
