Adopt North East is an exciting new collaboration between five Local Authorities. The service is hosted by North Tyneside in partnership with Newcastle, Northumberland, Gateshead and South Tyneside. This is an opportunity to join this team at the outset and shape things going forward.

Are you a Social Worker excited at the prospect of joining and being part of the development of a new Adoption Service with the passion and experience to help place children and young people who are not able to live with their families?

You will need social work skills in recruitment, assessment family finding and matching within an Adoption Team, experience of working with adopters in preparing them to meet the needs of children with a plan for adoption, a good understanding of attachment and working in partnership with our Children Looked After Teams, Fostering Teams and other children’s social care teams.

Adopt North East is ambitious to provide the best quality adoption service possible and we require ambitious Social Workers to complete our Adoption team.

Successful applicants will be placed on grade 8 OR 9 (progressed Social Worker) depending on qualifications and experience.

Grade 8 £26,470 - £29,909 pa
Grade 9 £30,756 - £34,106 pa

Please be advised that this position will require an Enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
