Northumberland County Council operates a huge range of services across the largest county in the UK. Our on going budget challenges and the diversity of our residents means we have to work smarter. That’s why we want bold, creative and agile thinkers who can help us move forward and innovate. The HR/OD service is a key function to facilitate this change deploying strategic and operational interventions and offering pragmatic and business-focused support to leaders and managers.
We are looking to recruit a high-performing individual to support this HR function on a fixed term basis for a period of 9 months. The role will challenge and inspire a CIPD-qualified individual and will provide the opportunity to gain operational and strategic experience while being supported by a committed and welcoming team.
Right from the start you’ll get involved in key areas of HR support including:
Supporting organisational change
Case management, Workforce planning, Employee Engagement, Policy Drafting,
Performance and talent management, Supporting key projects across a wide range of areas and Development of learning and development material.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate of a CIPD programme to take their first step on the path to a successful HR career.
Essential requirements include CIPD-qualified (level 7 or 5) or an equivalent portfolio of experience of working within a HR environment.
