We currently have a vacancy for a Unit Supervisor at New Silksworth Academy, Sunderland. We are looking for an enthusiastic manager with a flair for producing great school meals.

The post is permanent, 30 hours per week, term time only over 193 days. This means that you will work 190 days when school is open and be contractually required to work an additional 3 cleaning days (1 day before each term starts) if needed. In addition you may also be called in to work for up to 1 week during school holidays at our Community Meals kitchen

The successful candidate should be self motivated and will be expected to lead by example by providing excellent levels of customer service, mentoring, motivating and training a large sized catering team to achieve their full potential whilst ensuring excellent standards of food service at all times.

Previous supervisory experience within education catering is desirable. You must have first class people skills with an ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm and positive.

You must share the ethos of the school in providing a warm, secure and friendly environment where children will enjoy your food.
