The Gateshead School Sport Partnership co-ordinate activities and facilitate collaboration amongst schools, their clusters and key partners.

Our vision is for all school age (4-19) children and young people in Gateshead to experience and enjoy high quality Physical Education, Physical Activity and School Sport, building the foundations for a lifelong active and healthy lifestyle.

We are seeking to recruit a new full-time Development Assistant to our existing School Sport Partnership (SSP). The main purpose of the role will be to provide support to the SSP Central Team across a variety of key areas. This will include assistance with the organisation, administration and delivery of a variety of sporting projects and events.

You will have a Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline and you will have experience of co-ordination and delivery of sports events and competitions with a proven track record of team working to achieve targets.

You will have experience of leading and co-ordinating groups of people and working with schools and young people.

You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work effectively on a range of projects at one time and have good interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively, problem-solve and reflect and self-improve proactively.

You will be reliable, dedicated and hardworking and will have experience of time management and be able to use a wide range of IT packages including Microsoft Office applications.

You will have to be able to meet the transport requirements of the post and be available to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.

You must have a current driving licence and access to a car of means to mobility support.
