An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Financial, Planning and Support service for a qualified and experienced Finance Business Partner. The post will lead the Children’s Services Finance Team providing a wide range of financial advice and support to the Directorates within Children’s Services, which are currently undergoing significant transformational change.

Prospective candidates should have extensive experience in finance and accountancy, ideally within local government. Knowledge of Children’s Services Finance is desirable. They should also have an understanding of service delivery within local government, and have a track record in securing efficient and effective delivery of services (Value for Money). Also experience in the use of financial management systems is essential. We are looking for someone who has good communication skills, is confident and self-motivated, and has a commitment to customer focused service and strategic partnership working.

All posts within the service are flexible dependent on business requirements, and therefore the postholder could potentially provide services to other Directorates.
