Further information
The successful candidates will be expected to carry out a range of duties associated with catering, to include the service of food and beverages to pupils along with cleaning tasks. Previous experience in a busy catering environment or busy school environment is essential. Catering staff are contracted to work at any site in North Tyneside and can be asked to re-locate depending on business needs.

The post is term time only over 193 days. This means that you will work 190 days when school is open and be contractually required to work an additional 3 cleaning days (1 day before each term starts) if needed. In addition you may also be called in to work for up to 1 week during the school holidays at our community meals kitchen.
All individuals appointed to this post will be appointed onto an hourly rate which includes the National Living Wage (£7.83 as at 1st April 2018) and paid a supplementary allowance to accommodate the North Tyneside Living Wage (£8.75 per hour as at 1st April 2018)
Please be advised this position will require an Enhanced check from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)
Please note that basic literacy an numeracy skills will be assessed at interview stage.
