The successful candidates will be expected to carry out a range of duties associated with catering, to include the service of food and beverages to pupils along with cleaning tasks. Previous experience in a busy catering environment or busy school environment is essential. Catering staff are contracted to work at any site in North Tyneside and can be asked to re-locate depending on business needs.
We currently have vacancies in the following schools at the hours stated:
Forest Hall 7.5 hrs per week
The post is term time only over 190 days when school is open. In addition you will be contractually required to be available, should the service require it, to work five call-in days in our Community Meals Kitchen and three cleaning days, both of which occur during school holidays.
Please be advised this position will require an Enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
Please note that basic literacy an numeracy skills will be assessed at interview stage.
