We are looking to recruit an Assistant Team Manager to support our continued drive for improvement and achieve our vision of providing a Better Childhood in Hartlepool. The post holder will be responsible for a small caseload and will provide reflective supervision, support and modeling for social workers.

You will have a lead role in mentoring and developing newly qualified social workers as part of the authority ASYE programme. You will be expected to deputise in the Team Manager’s absence and support the Team Manager in attending and chairing meetings.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection judged us as being ‘good’ regarding the effectiveness of our safeguarding services and outcomes for children and young people and “outstanding” for children who are looked after.
You should possess a recognised Social Work qualification that permits registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We are looking for reflective practioners who are committed to continuous improvement, who have a proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with children, families and stakeholders and have excellent organisational, communication and assessment skills.
