Middlesbrough Council operates a Casual Stop Smoking Nursing ‘Bank’, which plays a vital role in providing smoking cessation clinics across South Tees community settings (i.e. throughout Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland).
We currently have vacancies for Casual Nurse Prescribers to work on an as and when basis. There are no guaranteed hours of work however shifts are available for days, evenings and Saturdays. You will need knowledge and experience of prescribing and experience of delivering smoking cessation would be an advantage. This is not an essential requirement as training will be provided.
You will need to be confident and competent to work across South Tees in a variety of community locations. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be flexible, adaptable and reliable and have good organisational skills. A caring and professional attitude is essential. The Casual Nurse Prescriber is responsible for delivering the cessation clinics.
