Post title: Clerical Support Officer – full time, temporary until 31/12/2019

Salary: £17,173 - £18,319 Grade 3

Job Location: Aycliffe Secure Centre, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

We are seeking to appoint a full time, temporary Clerical Support Officer to provide clerical support to staff within Secure Services with emphasis on supporting the Case Work and Safeguarding Managers and relief Reception duties.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Carry out clerical/reception duties
• Co-ordinate and take notes at both planned and ad hoc meetings on a weekly basis, ensuring notes are detailed, accurate and distributed within timeframes
• Use and maintain IT systems and databases as appropriate
• Communicate information by telephone, email and standard letter as appropriate
• Maintain both manual and computerised records

Required qualifications: 4 GCSE or GCE ‘O’ levels, grades A to C including English Language or NVQ 3 in Business/Administration
