First Class Supply work with schools throughout Northumberland who require Teaching Assistants to work with SEND pupils on both a 1-1 and small group basis. A variety of specialist settings for pupils with Autism are available providing opportunities for you to work in.
A range of daily and longer term positions are available, where you will be able to establish good working relationships within the teams of specific schools. There are options for full or part time hours, meaning we are able to provide you with a position that suits your lifestyle. For those interested in longer term positions, we will be happy to discuss potential roles. This is also an excellent opportunity if you are seeking permanent employment as introductions to new schools often leads to future positions.

To apply for this role you must:

  • be able to work independently on either a 1-1 or small group basis
  • be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
  • be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
  • have recent experience in a Teaching Assistant role, within a special needs environment
  • have experience of working with Autistic pupils
  • hold a relevant child care or education qualification at Level 3 or above.
