We are looking for a experienced, dedicated, highly motivated class teacher to join our fantastic Year 6 team in September 2019 . We require an enthusiastic Year 6 afternoon teacher who is an outstanding teacher and has a proven track record of raising standards regardless of starting points. In the afternoons our new Year 6 teacher will teach Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS) to two year six classes and then Foundation subjects to maintain our current high standards. We need someone who has high expectations of the children but who also demonstrates a caring attitude towards our children’s academic and pastoral development. We need someone who is passionate about teaching and learning!

> An outstanding Year 6 GPS teacher and classroom practitioner
> A strong reflective teacher who has had experience of teaching in upper key stage two
> Expertise and excellent subject knowledge in GPS
> Has an imaginative and creative approach to teaching Foundation Subjects
> Track record of raising standards in a school
> Has high expectations of every child
> Has a Growth Mindset like our staff and children
> Is a Good Team Player with good interpersonal skills
> Is a caring teacher who strives to removes the barriers to learning for every child
> Is keen to play an full and active part in all aspects of school life

This is a part-time position working 12.45 - 3.15pm (afternoons), 5 days per week and is not open to job share.
