A possible vacancy has arisen within Pathways, Leaving Care service and applications are invited from suitably qualified workers to join this busy and highly motivated team. As evidenced in Middlesbrough's Ofsted Inspection report 2015, Pathways provides quality services to young people in accordance with the Children (Leaving Care Act) 2000 and the Children Act 1989, Guidance and Regulations volume 2 and 3.

The roles and responsibilities will include:

Working with young people who are looked after and care leavers

Working with unaccompanied asylum seekers

Undertaking needs assessments and pathway plan

Working with young people leaving foster / residential care and promoting independent

living skills

Carrying out reviews and planning meetings

Working with care leavers living independently

Offering support and befriending services

Duty work based at 3 Park Road North

Group and development work

Liaising with other professionals and other agencies

The candidate will have a genuine interest in working with young people and an enthusiastic and dynamic approach to their work.

Due to young people’s needs, one of the positions available will be restricted to male applicants only.
