Head of Service – Social Care (Assessment, ICRT, EDT & Localities)
Salary: £59210 to £70485 per annum

This is a newly created position within Together for Children, which will provide strategic leadership, vision and direction to the Social Care, ICRT & Localities functions in line with the company’s vision and priorities and to ensure that these are embedded within the service.

Now is a very exciting time to join Together for Children as we continue in our collective endeavour to achieve high performing services for children and families.

We’re looking for candidates with demonstrable ambition to drive quality forward, using evidence based tools and techniques that add real value to how we work. We’re a different kind of organisation in that we stand at arm’s length from the Council with an independent board overseeing the company. We are solely focused on services for children and families, including schools, and greater freedoms to go faster with our improvement.

You’ll have a visible leadership role within the company and with partners and should be comfortable working across organisations for the benefit of improving outcomes for families. You will join a cooperative and collaborative senior leadership team responsible for budget delivery, people, and performance management and will also be accountable for the service performance and operational standards through the establishment of clear targets and key performance indicators ensuring continuous improvement.

We’d love to welcome applications from candidates who can commit to our journey, who want to be recognised for their talent and skills, and who share our desire to be an outstanding service.

If you would like to discuss this role please contact Martin Birch, Director of Children’s Social Care on 0191 561 3003.
