Gleneagles Resource Centre is an Ofsted 'Outstanding' registered 9 bed Short breaks home for children with moderate to severe disability, and complex health needs.

We are seeking to recruit suitable people to work within an established and experienced care team. The resource team work directly with young people children with disabilities and their families and carers to deliver support and services, which promote change and development and meet physical, emotional, intellectual, behavioral, health, social and cultural needs.

Working as a resource worker you will need to have the appropriate experience and a professional approach to carry out all aspects of personal and direct care in supporting children with various disabilities and challenging behaviour.

Applicants must:

Have NVQ/Diploma Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent is desirable, and candidates without the qualification would need to undertake this qualification when in post
Experience of working with children and young people with Disabilities
An understanding of child development and challenging behaviour
A positive attitude and a restorative approach when working with young people

They will also need to be able to work unsocial hours for example early mornings, weekend's sleepins, night shift as well as school holidays, evenings and Bank holidays.
