Required from 1 September 2019

Do you see teaching as a vocation? We seek to appoint an inspired and inspiring teacher from September 2019 to contribute to our outstanding Science department and high achieving school to teach from Y7 to Y13.

Applications are invited from those who are willing and able to make their own distinctive contribution to our school.

We have a culture of leadership and participation for staff as well as students. We are an outward facing school. For forward thinking staff we offer opportunities to develop leadership skills by taking on whole school initiatives. Many staff move on from us to senior roles in other schools.

We provide exceptional STEM provision in our enrichment programme working with strategic partners in industry, higher education and network of schools. We welcome applications from teachers who feel they can intensify this STEM offer to our students.

Application forms and further information are available by following the link on our website: www.scchs.org.uk for submission by 9am on Tuesday 16 April to Mrs Lynn Anderson, PA to Headteacher on Lynn.Anderson@scchs.org.uk.

Interviews will be held week commencing 22 April.

Candidates are not expected to be practising Catholics to apply but are expected to support the Catholic ethos of the school.

Please note we do not accept applications by CV and all applicants must complete and return the Safe Recruitment Form as part of the application process.

If you do not hear from us you may assume that your application has not been successful (please note that we are not required to give feedback on unsuccessful applications).

The Board of Governors and the Diocese are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young persons. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.
