Parking Services are seeking to appoint a Civil Enforcement Officer to carry out both on and off street parking enforcement and operations in accordance with statutory legislation and the Councils policies and procedures.

The main duties will be to carry out on and off street parking enforcement around the City of Sunderland liaising with members of the public giving advice on parking issues and enforcement procedures ensuring that the Council’s customer care policy is adhered to at all times. Issuing Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles parked in contravention of the regulations.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate with customers, often in difficult and demanding circumstances. Along with the ability to become a fully accredited Civil Enforcement Officer and achieve the City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Civil Enforcement Officers (Parking) or equivalent

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
