Further Information
We would like to recruit a female Enterprise Support Worker within Gateshead Councils Adult Social Care Provider Service, to support a female who has a learning disability to participate in work related activities, develop work skills and independence, with the aspiration of gaining employment.

Providing person centred support in a dignified and respectful way to engage in the activities of the enterprises and manage allocated responsibilities. Liaising and communicating with colleagues, carers and other professionals to share knowledge and seek advice, to ensure the appropriate level of support is provided via a support and development plan.

To actively support the development and delivery of the enterprises aims and objectives, marketing of services and provide effective customer care. Support the development, implementation and monitoring of safe working practices. Assist in the gathering of information and updating and maintenance of information systems. Handling money associated with enterprise activity and follow appropriate dress codes.

You will be required to work in a flexible way to effectively meet the individual and enterprise needs, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends, and any other duties allocated, which are appropriate to the grade of the post.

It is essential that you are willing to attain the care certificate qualification, have knowledge of key policies and legislation relating to disability, safeguarding vulnerable adults and health and safety legislation and person-centred approaches. You will have experience of working within a team and independently, communicating effectively using a range of mediums, and managing risks.

It is desirable to have a Level 2 Diploma in Social Care or equivalent, hold a current driving licence and have access to a car, or means to mobility support.
