Darlington Borough Council’s Provider Services are looking to recruit Support Workers who have an interest in supporting adults with learning disabilities. The support we currently provide enables individuals to maintain and further develop skills to maximize independence and ensure their assessed needs are met.
We are looking to recruit caring, friendly and motivated individuals to provide both personal and practical support to people with a variety of needs, including some behavioural issues and complex physical needs.
The post in Supported Living Services would entail supporting people to live in their own home and to access their local community. There is a requirement to work shifts on a rota basis including sleep-ins, weekends and some bank holidays.
The post in Day Services would include supporting people who have profound and multiple learning disabilities to ensure their health and well being needs are met to a high standard. You will be supporting people to take part in a range of both in house and community based activities with a focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle and community inclusion. The working week would be between Monday to Friday, during the hours of 8.30 a.m until 4 p.m.
