Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council in partnership with Redcar and Cleveland College, Job Centre Plus, Beyond Housing, and local care companies have developed the Redcar and Cleveland Care Academy.
The Care Academy provides free quality training to future care workers, to address an identified skills shortage in the Adult Social Care sector.
You must be aged 18 or over to enrol onto the Redcar & Cleveland Care Academy; and all graduates will have a guaranteed job interview with a local care company. Previous courses have enabled most graduates to find permanent employment.
The next six-week Academy starts on Monday 14 October 2019 at Redcar and Cleveland College. A drop-in information session is being held at the college on Monday 7 October 2019 from 10:00-11:00 am.
The Care Academy will also be running at Redcar and Cleveland College as follows:
Information Session: Monday 20 January 2020 at 10:00am
Six-week course starts: Monday 27 January 2020
