Further Information
Class Teacher/SENDCO - Required from January 1 2020 (Permanent – Full Time)
• Are you an outstanding teacher?
• Do you have a proven track record of recent and successful teaching across the first/primary school age range?
• Are you able to build strong relationships with the whole school community?
• Can you fully ‘buy into’ our school vision?

If so, you may be just the person to join our committed team as a teacher and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic, enthusiastic and hardworking teacher to join our team and take on the important role as our Special Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENDCO). The successful candidate will be joining an experienced and dedicated team of staff in our busy, growing school and become involved in all aspects of planning, delivering and assessing an exciting curriculum for our pupils as a class teacher. As well as having sound knowledge and proven experience as a successful class teacher, you will ideally have recent experience as a SENDCO. As well as PPA time, you will also be provided with weekly release time to complete your SENDCO role.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to quickly build positive relationships with all stakeholders. You will have recent training and experience across the first/primary school age range and the ability to demonstrate this through exemplary classroom practice.

The post will initially be as a teacher in KS1 or KS2 but you will have the ability to work in any year group across the school. The post will also involve the co-ordination of at least one curriculum subject. It is an exciting time at Amble Links First School as we move forward into the next phase of our development. We are a small first school of 130 pupils plus nursery and 2 Year Old Provision and are situated right next to the beautiful Northumberland coastline in the ‘Friendliest Port’ of Amble.

If you think we might be the right school for you we strongly encourage you to pay us a visit before applying. Call us on 01665 710667 to arrange to visit.
