Admin / Secretarial / Customer Services
Working within the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall, this varied role is fundamental in the Council’s goal of providing an excellent customer experience. You will be the first point of contact for customers and will deal with a variety of enquiries by telephone contact, e-mails, face-to-face visits and through digital channels. This is a real opportunity to help members of the community daily by actively promoting the use of digital services and self-serve options.
You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to listen, acknowledge, clarify, respond appropriately and check customer understanding. You will need to be flexible, able to multitask, be focused, and work effectively as a team member. You will have a passion for helping others and challenging processes that stand in the way.
You must be computer literate with experience of Office packages. Good IT skills and the ability to accurately capture data while managing customer expectations are essential.
