Gateshead Council learningSkills are looking to appoint a Quality and Business Improvement Lead to support their successful delivery team. You will ensure service wide quality and business improvement are adhered to through robust quality and business improvement KPI's, procedures and processes.
learningSkills deliver further education and training across a number of curriculum areas including apprenticeships, traineeships, Maths, English and employability provision, Family and community learning, ESOL and digital skills. We are the largest Local Authority provider of apprenticeships in the Country and are an Ofsted grade 'Good'.
This opportunity is open to applicants who can meet the following criteria:
You must have knowledge of the New Education Framework 2019 and teaching learning and assessment, alongside an understanding of safeguarding legislation and policy procedures, quality improvement and assurance frameworks. You must have relevant experience of working within a large learning environment, with a focus on business improvement and effective writing of policies and processes. You must be able to demonstrate practical application of quality assurance methods, including verification, self-assessment and observation of teaching, learning and assessment.
To ensure quality improvement, it is essential that you have experience of quality monitoring, audit, data analysis and sampling. As you will be working with both teaching and none teaching staff you will be able to evidence effective communication skills both oral and written and be able to work independently with considerable initiative.
You must also hold a level 5 teaching qualification, 2 A levels or equivalent and Safeguarding at level 3.
The post is fixed term until 31st July 2020, subject to an annual renewable contract, funding pending.
