Part Time - 18.5 hours - successful candidate will work 2day/3day fortnight. Days to be worked at the beginning of the working week.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our team to undertake a dual role of being a Foster Carer Reviewing Officer/Regulation 44 Officer you will work with another post holder in Together for Children Sunderland. A successful candidate would join the Corporate and Commercial Directorate and would be working within the TFC Sunderland Childrens’ Independent Review Team and will report to the IRO Managers. The role requires a candidate with substantial post qualifying experience of statutory Social Work within the area Fostering or Residential services. Candidates must have a sound understanding and knowledge of Fostering Regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and the Ofsted Inspection Framework for Children’s Homes. It will also be important that the candidate holds knowledge of wider Child Care legislation in England and Wales.
Candidates should be committed to improving services for looked after children within Together for Children Sunderland. As a Foster Carer Reviewing/Regulation 44 Officer you will work closely with TfC Sunderland fostering and Residential Service to drive forward an on-going improvements
