Here in Newcastle we have an ambitious and innovative programme that will reshape Social Work for those Adults with a Learning Disability and/or Autism.

This is an exciting time to join an established team working to deliver a truly innovative programme, achieving better outcomes for adults and their families in Newcastle.

We have a social work vacancies within our adult Learning Disability and Autism Team.

We have designed a new Learning Disability and Autism care management function whose remit will be to dynamically review and respond to fluctuating needs by offering the right amount of support at each point in time in order to ensure maximum safe independence.

The Learning Disability Team also benefit from the innovative use of data and information which should shape day-to-day practice, strengthen decision making and improve outcomes for those adults we work with.

You must be a dynamic, innovative and committed person. Ideally, you will have post qualifying experience in adult social care.

If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s).
