A vacancy exists within the Sunderland school meals service for a driver to transport meals, staff and various items between schools and other sites, predominantly within the City of Sunderland. A council van will be provided and successful candidates must be in a possession of a full clean UK driving licence. The role will involve moving and lifting some moderately heavy items from kitchens into and out of vans . A good geographical knowledge of the City of Sunderland is required and previous employment in a driving capacity is advantageous.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
