Further Information
A subsidiary of Tyne Housing Association, Ouseburn Farm Charity Ltd. provides a community-spirited place where learning, enrichment and personal growth are offered to whoever needs it.

With a working community farm, café and a carpentry and upcycling workshop, all offering training and education opportunities for local people, alongside a busy visitors’ centre, the charity is an exciting and diverse place to work.

We are delighted to have been awarded funding through The National Lottery Community Fund for our ‘Building Volunteers’ project, which aims to review, grow and develop the charity’s volunteering offer. Funded through this, we are seeking an exceptional individual to coordinate the project, ensuring we support and increase our cohort of volunteers, valuing their contribution and offering safe, high quality volunteering opportunities for the whole community. This is an exciting new opportunity with scope for considerable development.

Working from Ouseburn Farm in Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in volunteer recruitment, supervision, management and development, along with funded project management experience. An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults is essential, as is a flexible, creative, can-do attitude.

In return we can offer a work environment like no other, with 32 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays as they arise), a paid day off for your birthday, employee assistance programme and a generous company pension scheme. You’ll benefit from a committed and supportive Board, with excellent training and development opportunities.

We are an accredited Investors in People and Equal Opportunities employer and support our employees’ health and wellbeing through the NE regional Better Health at Work Award.

Our aim is to make a difference to people’s lives and support them to be the best they can. If you feel you can make a difference, we want to hear from you.
