In our Ofsted Inspection of July 2018 our department was judged as outstanding for the experiences and progress of children in care and care leavers.
In Hartlepool Childrens Services an opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to join Hartlepool's Through Care Team, working with children in care and care leavers 0-25 years old.
Whilst ideally, we are looking for an experienced team manager with excellent leadership skills this could also be an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practitioner who wants to step up into management, given that there is a second Team Manager who supports half of the team, offering valuable peer support.
We want someone with passion, enthusiasm, drive, and commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for children and young people in care and those who have left care.
The candidate will have experience in acting as a corporate parent and working with children in care and care leavers and will possess a social work qualification at degree or diploma level (or equivalent). Previous experience of supervising staff, allocating work, and performance management, and possession of a management or leadership qualification would be an advantage.
