Band 7 (spinal column points 8 -11), 25 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 5 days, Permanent, £11,591.51 – £12,301.12 per annum

Ad Astra Academy Trust in January 2020 will have grown significantly to seven primary schools across the Tees Valley and subsequently are looking to appoint a Governance & Administration Assistant.

This role is central to the effectiveness of the Trust and the successful applicant will play an important role in the Trust’s on-going development.

The successful candidate will provide a full support service to the central team of the Academy Trust and the schools within the Trust. This will include the preparations for the meeting, attending the meeting, providing the Trust and Its Governing Bodies with a detailed record of the meeting and carrying out any follow up with regard to action points.

The post will also assist with the management of the membership of the Trust Board and Governing Bodies.

The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with good organisation skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. They will have excellent customer service skills and have experience of attending meetings, taking minutes with a view to ensuring action is instigated.

The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexibly, as this role will involve some late afternoon working. Candidates must be able to meet the criteria detailed on the person specification.

This is a permanent position to commence as soon as possible.
