South Tyneside Council is looking to recruit a Development and Digital Manager to join the newly established Digital and ICT Service.

Our Development and Digital Services Team will work to build on our recent digital successes, developing high performing and easy to use digital services for our residents, visitors, businesses, partners and staff.
Our Business Change and Delivery Team will help teams and services within the Council to navigate the digital transformation process and take advantage of opportunities for our employees and members to work as productively as possible.
The ICT Services Team will ensure our core ICT infrastructure is secure, resilient, refreshed and capable of supporting the new digital and technical solutions we develop.
We have a strong track record delivering award-winning digital services and successful ICT projects and you will have the support of a collaborative team and clear leadership from a senior management team committed to understanding and exploiting the opportunities presented by new and emerging technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to help to shape an ambitious, forward-thinking and progressive service and drive our programme of digital transformation to the next level.
We are looking to recruit a skilled people manager with experience in delivering digital services, digital projects or large public sector websites to head up our newly established Development and Digital Team and to further develop our use of agile methodologies and tools. Reporting to the Corporate Lead Digital and ICT you will be passionate about delivering high performing websites, digital services and ICT solutions with exceptional user experience and high uptake. You will manage a portfolio of council websites (including www.southtyneside.gov.uk, www.visitsouthtyneside.gov.uk, www.investsouthtyneside.com, www.theworduk.org) and intranets and work closely with other colleagues within the service to ensure that the underlying infrastructure is secure, resilient and capable of supporting our digital ambitions as set out in the council’s ICT and Digital Strategy.
